France and Germany, the twin economic engines of continental Europe, will not let their auto industries flounder amid the financial meltdown and economic crisis, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Monday.

Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel said they agreed during talks that coordinated action was key to addressing the economic downturn, even if different measures were used by Paris or Berlin.
"We want to react with speed and with force to relaunch the economy" in a manner appropriate to each country but coordinated, Sarkozy said at a news conference with Merkel after their talks.

How Do I Move To Germany?

I am seriously considering the possibility of moving to Germany (or France). I have no friends there, I don't know the German language. I can make some conversations in French, but I'm by no means fluent. I think being in France, I could become fairly fluent in a month.

I want to live and work in Germany (or France, along the German border) as I have a really good friend in Germany. And, I don't know where to begin to make this happen.

I don't know what I could do for work. I don't know how much it will cost me to live. I don't know how much I should expect to have as a financial cushion. I don't know how quickly it would take me to pick up the German language.

I would like to be involved in the Entertainment industry in whatever way possible. Any feedback? VISA guidelines? What to expect?

PS: I'm not interested in the challenges and problems except if you have ways of overcoming them. I'm not the kind of person to dwell on problems, but instead the kind to find solutions.
I really appreciate your feedback so far. I simply want to clarify that my original post did not say I 'didn't want to hear' the challenges or problems. I simply suggested that I'm more interested in how to overcome the problems and challenges in order to make it happen.

Too many people dwell on the challenges instead of looking for solutions. Knowing the challenges is surely the first step.

But, I'm very serious about this for many personal reasons.

I'm willing to put in the time and work to succeed and learn the language. And, your feedback and my time with the German Embassy, when I can make with an appointment, will help me even further.

I will certainly visit, but the reasons that make me want to move to Germany make me impatient to move there at a later date. There is a strong enough reason for me to be there that all of the challenges and struggles would mean very little to me.

Love conquers all.
