President-elect Barack Obama Thursday said no one in his office engaged in dealmaking with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich over who would succeed him in the Senate.

FBI agents arrested Blagojevich on Tuesday on federal corruption charges related in part to the selection of Obama’s successor as a U.S. senator. Federal officials said Blagojevich was looking to sell or trade the position.
Obama said the vacant Senate seat is not for "any politician to trade," and he said he had never spoken to the governor on the subject.

  2. what’s all this talk about calling for Blagojevich to “resign?” … “throw him in prison” sounds a lot more fitting

it gives me chills to see how calm and collected he continues to act

  4. There are those news reports on CNN who have probably never worked in a law firm, or a congressional job that would have the slightest hint as to just how difficult nor how long it would take (if a thorough job was expected from President Obama) it would be to gather from any of his people just how many times they had contact with the Governor or on what subjects were discussed. Obama wants to be thorough because “God forbid” if he left out one little item, your reporters would be all over him. Believe it or not — not every person in America uses a Blackberry or for that matter a computer. I can almost gaurantee some even still use the old pen and pencil.

Give the man a chance. With all of the other much more important things on his plate, this hardly takes precedence over them.
