A Haitian judge ruled Wednesday that eight of the 10 Americans detained in Haiti have been freed on their word and can leave the country immediately, a lawyer involved in the case told CNN.

I figure most or all of the people in jail had good intentions for kids and every desire to comply w/ the law but one or more of the groups leaders didn't care about the law and for zealous reasons illegally arranged to get those kids to the Fundamentalist orphanage.

What To Do To Stop Juarez Mexico Killings?


this has been a mystery for years. No one knows has seen or heard a thing. I know this is a foreign country's problem and help will involve political discussion first but we cant let this keep on happening.

Its sad to see all the familys with their hands tied because their own goverment wont look into this. Mexican women are not as liberal and dont have as many rights as us in the US but that doesnt mean they are not human.

We need to lend them a bit of our forensic technology and help them find the killer of hundreths of Mexican women. Juarez is not that far from us its right on the border so all it will take is minutes drive to the town and start investigating.

May i add many Mexican who have tried to do something have been killed massacre style.

In my opinion its either the Mafia but i kind of doubt it

Or the corrupt Mexican Goverment just distracting the nation while they corrupt them out of their last 2 pesos

A woman accused of stabbing a Border Patrol agent in the leg is in custody Tuesday, 10News reported.

The agent was taken to Grossmont Hospital, according to Border Patrol officials.

The agent was stabbed in the thigh while attempting to stop a suspected drug runner Tuesday in Campo, according to Border Patrol officials. The driver of the vehicle ran away, but the female passenger stabbed the agent as he tried to arrest her, officials said.

The agent's injuries are not life-threatening, officials said.

On his final full day in office, President Bush issued commutations for two former U.S. Border Patrol agents convicted in 2006 of shooting and wounding an unarmed illegal immigrant — suspected of drug smuggling at the time — and then covering it up.

The prison sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean will now end March 20.
Ramos had received an 11-year prison sentence; Compean had received a 12-year term. They began serving their sentences in January 2007.

Israel opened three border crossings with Gaza on Friday, allowing fuels and commodities into the Palestinian territory for the first time in 10 days.

About 80 trucks filled with commodities were expected to cross into Gaza. Among the goods were 400,000 liters of fuel and 120 tons of cooking gas.
The decision to open the crossings at Kerem Shalom, Karni and Nahal Oz came after requests from international aid groups and Egypt, said Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. In addition, he said, Israel has no desire to hurt the civilian population in Gaza.
