CNN's Campbell Brown asks when are we going to figure out how to end wasteful spending of taxpayer money?Commentary: Can we stop waste before it happens?
As we mentioned earlier, today President Obama announced he is appointing a former Secret Service agent and top government investigator to be a kind of watchdog over the stimulus money.

Earl Devaney’s official title: Chairman of the New Recovery Act Transparency and Accountability Board.
His appointment is in part meant to quiet all the yelling and screaming about pork and wasteful spending in the stimulus package and make it clear to anyone thinking about abusing this record-setting financial package, that the president will, in his words, "call them out on it."

Will Rush Limbaugh Accept Campbell Brown's Challenge?

Campbell Brown has challenged conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh to come onto her show and debate the merits of the stimulus package.

CNN's chief business correspondent Ali Velshi had criticized Limbaugh's stimulus suggestions, and Limbaugh fired back at Velshi on his radio show yesterday, calling Velshi "incompetent.

She then invited Limbaugh to come and debate the stimulus package with Velshi, instead of just lobbying personal attacks on his radio program.

Will Rush Limbaugh accept or is he all talk as usual?

Sen. Chris Dodd's amendment will affect more executives than previously anticipated, financial analysts say.Stimulus amendment puts tough limits on executive pay
An amendment in the $787 billion economic stimulus package passed by Congress Friday would severely restrict bonuses and other forms of compensation for top executives at companies receiving federal bailout money.

The amendment by Sen. Chris Dodd, chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, would impose wide-ranging restrictions on how — and by how much — top executives at companies receiving federal bailout money can be compensated.
The measure would cap bonuses — already often far more lucrative than base salaries for top executives — and could require executives at companies that have already received bailout money to pay back some of their compensation if it exceeded certain limits.
