George Obama was arrested in Kenya on a charge for possession of marijuana, according to police.Obama’s half brother arrested on charge of marijuana possession
George Obama, the half brother of U.S. President Barack Obama, has been arrested by Kenyan police on a charge of possession of marijuana, police said Saturday.

Inspector Augustine Mutembei, the officer in charge, said Obama was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, known in Kenya as Bhang, and resisting arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Mutembei said.
He is being held at Huruma police post in the capital of Nairobi.

The Saudi oil tanker Sirius Star was seized by pirates on November 15.Somali pirates free tanker after ransom
Pirates holding a Saudi-owned oil supertanker off the coast of Somalia have set the vessel free after receiving a ransom payment, a piracy monitor in neighboring Kenya said Saturday.

"The supertanker VLCC Sirius Star is currently under way to safe waters," Andrew Mwangura of the Kenya Seafarers Association said in an e-mail.
A journalist who spoke with pirate sources also confirmed the release. The U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain, did not immediately comment.
