Issue of Jackson doctor-shopping for drugs raised again
While the coroner’s report on what killed Michael Jackson has been delayed indefinitely, new evidence emerged that the singer shopped for a doctor who would give him the drug investigators suspect led to his death.
Dr. Allan Metzger, whose name appeared on a search warrant served this week, refused Jackson’s request in April for the anesthetic propofol — commonly known by the brand name Diprivan, Metzger’s attorney said.
Investigators suspect another physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, gave the drug to Jackson in the 24 hours before he died, according to a source, who asked not to be named because the individual was not authorized to speak to the news media.

Tyler Perry sending rebuffed day-care kids to Disney World
Tyler Perry, the star, writer and producer of films such as "Madea Goes to Jail" and the television show "House of Payne," could be adding philanthropist to his growing list of credits.
According to his publicist, Perry is sponsoring a Disney World trip for 65 Pennsylvania children at a largely minority day-care center after a swim club canceled pool privileges for the children.
"He wanted to do something nice for them and let them know that for every negative experience, there are people out there who want them to succeed regardless of the color of their skin," said Keleigh Thomas, Perry’s publicist. She added the entertainer would be footing the bill for all transportation, hotel, admissions and food costs at the Florida theme park.

A recently retired Mexican army general whose bullet-riddled body was found Tuesday near Cancun had taken over as the area’s top antidrug official less than 24 hours earlier, officials said.
Retired Gen. Mauro Enrique Tello Quiñonez, his aide and a driver were tortured before being killed, said Quintana Roo state prosecutor Bello Melchor Rodriguez y Carrillo. He said there was no doubt Tello and the others were victims of organized crime.
"The general was the most mistreated," Rodriguez said at a Tuesday night news conference monitored by El Universal newspaper. "He had burns on his skin and bones in his hands and wrists were broken."

I will be going to Mexico City for 5 days in the end of August and will be staying in the historical section of Mexico City. Can anyone answer these questions?
1-How much should a taxi cost from the airport to the historical area? Alternatively is there a bus/shuttle system from the airport?
2-Are taxis expensive in Mexico City? Is there anything i should be watching out for with the Taxis?
3-Is there a bus service in the area? If so is it safe and a good price?
4-What are the costs of general foods in the area? Is restauraunts or supermarkets expensive?
5-Is botteld water expensive there? Should i bring my own water with me?
6-I will be there for 5 days and staying in the historical area but also want to go to see the temples a bit further away. What is the easiest way to see them?
7-I am ther for 5 days. What amount of money should i need for my time there? What is best currency while there? Can i pay for stuf in US$'s? Or do i need Mexican currency?
