As the United States steps up its push for tough new sanctions against Iran, a top American diplomat said Thursday that hopes of a deal with Iran to curb its nuclear ambitions are fading.

How Can The US Ask Iran To Stop Nuclear Enrichment With A Straight Face?


The Iranian leader – maybe cynically, maybe not – is correct in saying that America is the only country who has used nuclear weapons. Also, the US continues to use uranium tipped munitions, and quite unashamedly, even proudly, develops new 'bunker busting' devices, which they intend to use, if they haven't already!!!

How can they seriously ask anyone else to stop nuclear enrichment? Now, Iran's purpose may not be peaceful, but even if their purpose is to have the power to threaten a retaliatory nuclear attack, isn't that a right every sovereign nation has?

I don't support Iran, but nor do I support hypocrisy, and the US has that coming out of its ears.
I am not saying the US is as dangerous as Iran, simply that you are the most hypocritical nation on the planet.

I can't believe how incapable right wing folk are of actually engaging in intelligent debate either… My head is exploding, as one of you fools says. It is exploding at your inability to actually answer a question in a balanced and intelligent fashion.

In what appears to be an attempt to call Iran’s bluff on its nuclear program, the United States is poised to offer Tehran a way to obtain medical isotopes that Iran says it desperately needs to treat cancer patients, according to the State Department.

I saw a report on urinaium enrichment and I think it may be possible for us to supply fuel grade uranium to them for use in a power facility without them having to enrich it themselves. After all, we have that down pat, and they don't have uranium ore deposits. They are saying that they want it as an alternative fuel source, ok, that may be good for the environment instead of fossil fuel plants. Another thing we could do is encourage them to start making solar energy, that they have an abundance of. Plus, they have all the materiels and people they need to create thier own independant solar array and power grid. The thing I see is that they need alternative power, and we need to feel comfortable that weapons don't get created as a byproduct. So, if they insist on building the power plant, why don't we oversee the insertion of fuel from top to bottom. Everyones happy. Do you really think we need to go to war with Iran? Maybe if we respect and assist instead of demand…

Why Cant The American Ppl Stand Up For What They Truly Believe In, And Face Opposition From The Public ?


I have seen a lot of ppl (who dont represent anyone but themselves, and dont attend rallies) say they resent the wars that the US has undertaken, and oppose any more possible invasions (Iran/Iraq), but are too cowardly to come out in public; to voice their opposition clearly. Why is this?

Why do I feel that it is an odd bunch of ppl that actually wants true change? If so many ppl resented our war in Iraq, we should have listened to Ron Paul and had him elected as our President. But the poor guy got no support for speaking the glaring truth, and instead was handpicked as a troublemaker; and was disrespected.

Please dont take this question personally (you all might not be cowards), but I feel most American ppl still have NO idea what they want, or whats good for the country. They think Iraq was a failure, so bring the troops back home and attack Afghanistan and Pakistan. Why do we need any more wars? Why cant we spend our hefty military budget on the failing infrastructure of our country, and the economy?
